Texas Parent to Parent (TxP2P) has set up a variety of listservs to connect parents interested in specific topic areas and in specific regions to share resources, information, and support. You can sign up for the listservices when you register with us but if you find another one you want to join, send an email to Susan Prior at Susan.Prior@TxP2P.org with the name of your county and the listservs you’d like to join.
Local Area Listservs: For parents to share support, local resources, activities, providers, etc. Currently we have groups for Austin, Bryan-College Station, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, San Marcos, and Waco-Temple areas. We hope to create more soon!
Advocacy Listserv: For parents who are interested in receiving information and action alerts about state and federal legislative actions.
ADD/ADHD Listserv: For parents with children who have ADD/ADHD to share information and support.
Autism Listserv: For parents with children who have Autism or Asperger syndrome to share information and support.
Bipolar Listserv: For parents with children who have Bipolar Disorder to share information and support.
Dad's Listserv: For dads of children with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other special health care needs to share information and support.
ECI Listserv: For parents of children ages birth to 5 years old to provide information and support during the transition process into school programs.
Medical Home Listserv: For parents and professionals to discuss the concept of Medical Home to further promote the concept and encourage parent/professional partnership.
NICU/Preemie Listserv: For parents with babies and/or children who are or have been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Special Home Schoolers Listserv: For parents who are home-schooling children with disabilities, chronic illnesses or other special health care needs.
Transition Listserv: For parents with youth with disabilities, chronic illnesses or special health care needs who are approaching and/or have reached adulthood to share information and support.
Texas Parent Group Network: For parents and professionals who facilitate parent groups to share information and resources
