Talk to Another Parent

TxP2P’s main goal is to connect parents for support and information. We do this in several different ways:

Call our Office and Talk with Another Parent

The majority of our staff are parents of kids with disabilities,
chronic illnesses, and special health care needs. You can call
866-896-6001 or 512-458-8600 and talk to any of them about anything.

Request a Peer Parent Mentor or Become a Parent Mentor

TxP2P provides peer support to any child’s family requesting help, information, and resources from an experienced, trained parent who has undergone a similar journey caring for a child with a disability or special health care need. We need more trained Parent Mentors to keep up with the requests for matches from new parents. Read more about the Peer Parent Mentors Program.

NICU Network

The birth of a premature infant or a child who starts life in the NICU is a challenging and life altering time for a family. TxP2P has developed a network of mentors to provide support to parents of premature infants and babies hospitalized in the NICU. Read more about NICU Network.

Pathways to Adulthood Transition Program

As youth approach adulthood, parents face many issues assisting their young adults starting their life after school. This program is designed to educate and empower parents, so they know what options are available. Read more about Pathways.

Ask Rosemary

As a parent of a child with a disability or special health care need, you may have many questions, but don’t know who to turn to for help, or what to do next. We encourage you to “Ask Rosemary” and you’ll receive a personal response from a TxP2P staff member or volunteer within two working days or sooner whenever possible. Read more about Ask Rosemary.

Parent Listservs

When you join our mailing list, you will have access to a host of listservs by topic and region to connect with other parents. Connect with as few or as many as you wish. Read more about our Listservs.
